News: Adjudication Recital and 3 Winners at the AMTL
2009 Mid-Season Musicale
We just recently had our successful Adjudication Recital last December 7, 2008 at the Bechstein Piano Center, 58th street in Manhattan. For this occasion we were honored by Mr. Eric Birk to be our judge. He is the current president of the Associated Music Teachers' League, Inc. (AMTL) - a well-established professional organization in New York City comprising of music educators and performers of the various musical disciplines. The first half of the recital was about testing each pupil on his/her assigned scales in parallel octaves, thirds, sixths and tenths, as well as corresponding cadences and arpeggios. The second part of the program was being judged for their performance of solo works. This adjudication process is intended for the sole purpose of advancing every one in becoming better & competent young musicians of the future.
Congratulations to the following pupils: David Lee, Joenrhuz Bolina and Joerenz Bolina for passing the audition conducted by the AMTL for its Mid Season Musicale concert at the University Parish of Saint Joseph at 371 Sixth Avenue on March 15, 2009. David Lee performed Rachmaninov Prelude in G minor, Op. 23 no. 5. Joenrhuz Bolina played the Sonatina in D Major, Op. 168 no. 5 by Diabelli, while Joerenz Bolina performed "The Storm" Op. 109 no. 13 by Burgmuller.
